In sad casino news, the popular online casino Millionaire Casino will be closing down on the 1st of August.  The website has posted on its homepage: “We recommend that you play out your balance or request a payout prior to August 1st.  In the event that you have any questions please contact customer support.  We would like to thank you for your loyalty through the years.”

This closure comes as a result of the seizure of online casino domain names by the US government.  The first giants to fall were Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker, and PokerStars.  The closure of three of the largest online poker websites came as a shock to the entire gambling community.  Sportbooks sites were also closed down because of the betting.

As a result of the closures, there are many people who claim to have lost money.  Parties affected by the government’s actions are petitioning the offices involved to reimburse all the players who suffered loses.  Others simply withdrew their money and switched to foreign-based casinos.

Many players around the world have expressed concern about the recent events.  In order to avoid dicey situations, a lot of players are now choosing websites based on their level of legal stability.  Many such casinos are even taking advantage of the unfolding events in order to steal over as many players as they can.  One can find numerous bonuses and promotions aimed at such a goal.

When Millionaire Casino closes its doors, so to speak, on the first of next month, it will be interesting to see who will take its place.  Are other casinos safe?  Only time will tell.
