IGT Partners with Virgin Games for Mobile Offering

By Debra SaundersGoogle
IGT, one of the largest and most well-known developers of online casino games for the past twenty years has undergone significant changes and made improvements to its business over the last year. This past week, it was announced that the company made an agreement with top rated online casino operator Virgin Games to launch the IGT remote game server for mobile devices.
Players on the Virgin Games platform will now have access to some of the best IGT games including Da Vinci Diamonds® and Cleopatra®. The company says that additional games are scheduled to be launched in the coming months, with a significant number added by the end of 2012.
Simon Burridge, CEO of Virgin Games , commented on the partnership saying that the company’s intention has always been to bring additional content suppliers into its mobile casino offering, similar to its top rated online casino platform. The company realizes that in today’s market, most people use their mobile devices as their sole form of entertainment and needed to adjust accordingly.
The partnership allows for Virgin Casino players to access to the mobile casino from devices that include iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Google Android handsets, Blackberry, Windows phone and most smartphones and tablet devices.
Earlier in the year, the company acquired Double Down Interactive, allowing it to bring under its fold one of the world’s best online casinos as well as one of the most popular and loved social media games on Facebook.
