Multiple Software Developers Combine

A recent trend in the online real money gaming environment has changed the way that online casinos deliver games to their members. In a dramatic change of pace online casinos are using multi-platform gaming software that not only delivers diversity in the way games can be played via mobiles and desktops interchangeably, but they are now also bringing in games from the competition via backend support interfaces.

Microgaming is one of the pioneering leaders in online gaining design delivering slots, table games and other real money games, but what some online gamers are unware of is the fact that the company also takes care of the online casinos entire operating platform on behalf of the casino operators. That means the whole gaming zone and platform delivering these games to mobiles and desktops is managed by the Microgaming software platform.

Originally Microgaming acquired the Quickfire platform to deliver Microgaming games using a multi-platform HTML5 and flash platform so tablet, mobile and desktop users could all access games on casinos powered by the Quickfire/Microgaming platform. However, the concept has expanded further into something known as an Extended Third-party Interface.

This ETI is now able to connect to competitors software suites and deliver titles from developers such as NextGen, Net Entertainment, Ash Gaming, NYX, Playtech, Cryptologic (Amaya), Quickspin and more.

So what does this mean exactly?

Rather than a Microgaming platform only delivering Microgaming games with Microgaming features, now the ETI can bring in games from companies such as NextGen and list these games alongside their own Microgaming games. As a result, casinos are now able to offer a more diverse gaming environment with concepts and features coming from multiple designers.

For many online casino fans, this is great news. Technology has meant that codes such as HTML5 and Flash created products are forcing developers to use by and large similar code to launch their products. Therefore, Quickfire’s ETI powered by Microgaming is able to reach out and stream slots, table games, video poker games and more from multiple developers at the same time.

NYX’s OGS system uses exactly the same concept as Microgaming’s Quickfire delivery platform, and so does NetEnt.

Casino players no longer need accounts with different casinos

Players no longer have to have multiple casino accounts with different casinos just so they can play and get a taste of different features designed and released by different companies. A player that has a casino account with a NetEnt casino b ecause he/she likes the NetEnt features, but also equally enjoys NYX games and thus has an account with an NYX casino can now find a casino that streams both NYX and NetEnt games in a single games list.

All in all, this is perfect for casino bonus codes and loyalty points because players can now play on several slots from different software providers and collect bonus codes and loyalty points in one place rather than losing the benefits of loyalty points by switching from casino to casino just so they can play different slots.
