Playtech Eyes Nevada Casino Games License and Social Gaming

The highly regarded online casino games software brand, Playtech, has put in its application for an online casino license in Nevada. Earlier this year, the company identified its goals for 2012 and stated that they are “looking forward to an exciting year ahead with potential new joint venture partnerships and new licensee prospects.”
In the realm of social gaming, CEO of Playtech, Mor Weizner, stated that the top online casino brand has plans to license real money gaming software, social gaming and real-money mobile software from Skywind Holdings. He commented, “Social gaming offers exciting growth opportunities for real money gaming organizations to apply their technological and marketing expertise”
According to people close to the deal, Playtech will pay an annual license fee of six million euros and an additional twenty percent royalty on revenue received through the use of company’s software in social gaming activities.
Weizner continued, “The Skywind software license delivers a cost effective entry into social gaming, allowing the company to offer a comprehensive and innovative solution to online gaming operators wishing to access the social gaming market and strengthen their mobile offering.”
He concluded, “Mobile and social gaming will lead the gaming industry’s growth and present significant opportunities for the company. With access to a sizable and proven development team, Playtech will be able to maintain its position as the leading online gaming software provider. We will offer a comprehensive and innovative solution to online gaming operators wishing to access the social gaming market and strengthen their mobile offering. Similarly we will enable social gaming companies to access a full suite of products in social and real money gaming.”
