By Debra SaundersGoogle
The WPT® LA Poker Classic is coming to the Commerce Casino on March 1st 2014 with a star-studded line-up expected to walk through the doors joining the WPT and Monster Products.

One the WPT’s most popular high stakes poker events will feature the official endorsement of the DNA™ critically-acclaimed headphones as the WPT’s audio brand of choice confirming the first step in a new partnership between two organizations both highly regarded for their vision and forward thinking. Visitors and players will have the chance to take a sneak preview of Monster Products Pure Monster Sound™ innovative technology in the Commerce Casino and WPT’s debuting Monster Bar.

This is an amicable partnership, as on the same par as Monster Products ability to shine in the audio industry, the WPT are also known for their brand building capabilities within the poker industry.

The WPT® LA Poker Classic is a classic example. It has been an integral part of the WPT since 2003. In season 1’s $10,000 buy-in LA Poker Classic Main Event, veteran pro Gus Hansen took down first place winning $532,490 after getting past big name pros such as Andy Bloch to take home one of poker’s most venerated WPT prizes. Since the inaugural 2003 event the WPT and LA Poker Classic’s reputations have positively grown attracting more entrants each year increasing the prize pools and first place pay-outs. Last year’s winner, Paul Klann, won double the very first 2003 prize as he took $1 million with his title in 2013.

Adding to the event’s reputation are past winners Phil “polarizing” Ivey, Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari and Michael “Grinder” Mizrachi, all of whom join Hansen in winning first place honors in a WPT® LA Poker Classic and are expected to join the list of pros already confirming their intentions to challenge for the 2013 LA Classic title.

Marvin Rettenmaier, Mohsin Charania, Paul Klann, Noah Schwartz, Erick Lindgren, Matt Salsberg, John Racener and the aggressive style of Faraz Jaka will be challenging to add a WPT® LA Poker Classic Main Event title to their current WPT collections. Also, we can expect to see a handful of these seasoned pros warming up for the Main Event as they compete in some of the 60-tournament series scheduled for this year’s event.

When the final table starts to air, The Monster Bar will also house the Monster DJ a one of a kind GO-DJ to entertain the crowds when the television cameras take a break from filming the action. GO-DJ’s creative Monster masterpiece is a pocket-sized controller with a whole studio packed into one device.

Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten will be commentating with Lynn Gilmartin as anchor, while Raw Deal Analyst, Tony Dunst, will be analyzing the hands and players. One of the most reputable WPT poker events, some of the best pros and one of the most reputable audio brands, mix into a trendy Commerce Casino to bring a special event to the live poker scene broadcast on FOX Sports Networks.
